<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large-sized projection television which can make its display image lighter. SOLUTION: A means which reflects OFF light, which does not travel to a screen, of the light projected by a reflection type optical modulating element to a light source and a means which controls the quantity of the reflected OFF light are provided to reuse the OFF light, so the OFF light which was not used before is returned to the light source and reused, so the use efficiency of the light becomes high, and consequently the projection television which has light images and is powerful can be actualized.</p> |
