<p>Membrane measures is not 1 cm. in not 2 directions, and is formed from an insoluble, unmeltable organic high polymer, which has cation-exchanging groups chemically bonded to it. On the surface of the membrane and in the zone close to the surface, there are chemically bonded acid amide units in an amount determined by: A / A + B x 100 = 15-10-5%, (where A is the number of acid amide linkages per gram of dry membrane and B is the number of cation-exchanging groups per gram of dry membrane). The acid amide units consist of a cation-exchanging group and an amine with is not 1 amino group which contains is not 1H atom linked to an N atom. The membranes are selectively permeable to cations; low-valency cations pass through preferentially. The membranes have low electrical resistance and good durability.</p> |
