PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutoff method which ensures sufficient sealing performance between a double sheet-pile wall and an existing bank, thereby to improve the durability of a cutoff wall. SOLUTION: According to the cutoff method, a grout passage 21 and a through hole 23 are formed inside a doorstop-side box-type steel sheet pile 10A forming a continuous sheet-pile wall 6 and in an outer wall of the steel sheet pile 10A, respectively, beforehand, and a sheet 26 for construction is attached to the outer wall surface by using flat bars 29, followed by inserting a part of the sheet 26 into a vertical groove 8 formed in a dam bank 2, to thereby drive the box-type steel sheet pile 10A. Thereafter, grout is injected into the longitudinal passage 21 via a feed pipe 31, and then introduced into the through hole 23 and poured on a rear side of the sheet 26 for construction which then is inflated due to the pressure of the grout to adhere to a side wall of the vertical groove 8, whereby the adhering sheet serves as a seal for a doorstop portion.
