PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten working hours required for folding and heat sealing without losing evenness of heat sealing for an end of a packaging film. SOLUTION: In a folding and sealing device 10 for the end of a package including a heat seal unit 300 for the end and a folding and sealing unit 400 for an extended portion, an extended end 2a of the package 3 is butt-sealed by the heat seal unit 300 for the end, and the extended end 4 is folded onto a side face 3a of the package 3 while heating. Then, an extended portion 2b formed at an end of the package 3 by the heat seal is further folded onto a side face 3a of the package 3 while heating by the sealing unit 400 for the extended portion, by which the extended end 2a can be folded and simultaneously sealed by heat and a seal time can be remarkably shortened. In addition, since the extended end 2a is sealed by heat in each folding operation, a seal face of each end can be securely sealed.
