PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the assembling operation and mounting operation for an optical scanner, to reduce the size of a substrate for connection which is provided with a harness for connection with an image forming device main body, and to prevent a wire from being broken and so on owing to the forcible bending of the harness connected to a connector of the substrate for connection. SOLUTION: An optical scanning substrate 10 is arranged on a side wall 231a of a housing 231, a connection connector 10a for connecting a harness 220h for a polygon mirror which outputs a signal to a polygon motor and a connection connector 10b for connecting a harness 228h for a BD sensor are provided at the end part of the optical scanning substrate 10 in the direction wherein the side wall of the casing 231 connects, and a connection connector 10c for a harness 10h for main body connection is provided at the lower end part as the other end of the optical scanning substrate 10.
