PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently suck and remove chips even if relatively large flaky chips are produced in a processing machine having a tool 5 installed on a main spindle 2 via a cylindrical tool holder 4 and performing cutting work while sucking and removing the chips. SOLUTION: A suction duct member 8 is arranged so as to enclose a flange part 40 formed on the outer periphery of the tool holder 4. The flange part 40 forms an inner peripheral annular space 43 for enclosing a shaft part 50 of the tool 5, and a suction hole 44 for communicating the space with the suction duct member 8. The outer peripheral surface of the shaft part 50 forms a suction groove 58 extending over the annular space 43 from the tip blade part 51. The chips are sucked and removed by the suction duct member 8 via the suction groove 58, the annular space 43, and the suction hole 44.
