PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for fitting a cap on a metal container with external screw threads wherein the contents of the container are prevented from touching the external screw threads of the container. SOLUTION: In the structure for fitting a cap on a metal container consisting of a metal container portion 1, in which an external screw threaded part 3 is formed on a mouth 2, and a cap 6 adapted to be screwed onto the mouth 2, an inwardly bulging, engaging recess 5 is formed between the threaded part 3 and a shoulder portion 4, while the cap 6 consists of an outer cylinder 8 having therein an internal screw threaded part 7 and an inner cylinder 10 having a recess 9 formed so as to be encircled by the inside of the cylinder 8. When the cap 6 is screwed onto the mouth 2, the engaging recess 5 of the container portion 1 is brought into close contact with the outer periphery of the inner cylinder 10 of the cap 6. |
