SOLUTION: In the positioning structure of a camshaft, a groove 51 for housing a collar portion 31 of the camshaft 20 is formed in a rocker case 50. In a state with the rocker case 50 not being attached to the cylinder head 40, the camshaft 20 is displaced in the axial direction with respect to the cylinder head 40 from the reference position. In a state with the camshaft 20 being sandwiched between the cylinder head 40 and the rocker case 50, the displacement in the axial direction of the collar portion 31 is regulated by the groove 51. Therefore, the camshaft 20 is positioned in the axial direction at the reference position, with respect to the cylinder head 40.</p>
