PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a power for driving a screen device and increase a treating amount. SOLUTION: This screen device having a cylindrical screen cylinder 9 and a plurality of banes rotated along the inner circumferential surface of the screen cylinder 9 and used for screening a paper-making raw material A into an accept B and a reject C is composed by forming the cross-sectional shape of each of the banes in a shape that the bane has a large head and is gradually thinned toward the rear end, gradually enlarging a space between the screen cylinder 9 side face 9a of the bane 20 and the inner face 9a of the screen cylinder 9 from the tip to the rear end, and forming the tip portion of the screen cylinder 9-opposite side face of the bane 20 at an acute angleαto the tangent 9t of the screen cylinder 9.
