PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a FRP outer plate member for transportation equipment having both a surface fineness and a resistance to vibrational fatigue. SOLUTION: This FRP outer plate member for transportation equipment is an outer plate member using a fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) comprising a textile base and the outer plate member has a composite cover factor of 95-100%. The composite factor is an index relating to a size of gaps and a size of voids formed between weaving yarns and the composite factor is a value expressed by the following formula. The composite factor = [(S1-S2)/S1]×l00: S1 is an arbitrary area on the composite and S2 is a sum of the areas of the gaps and voids formed in the composite in the area S1.
