The invention relates to a method for producing a separating body for a pressure sensor comprising: a base body (10) made of a first metallic material; a separating membrane (20) made of a second metallic material, which cannot be joined to the first material by direct welding, and; an annular intermediate layer (30) comprising a metallic material that can be welded to the second metallic material. In one embodiment, the intermediate layer is firstly welded to the separating membrane before the intermediate layer is joined to the base body. In another embodiment, the intermediate layer is soldered to the base body around a projection that serves as a soldering flux barrier. The projection is subsequently removed in order to form a membrane bed. In another alternative, the separating membrane, intermediate layer and the base body are joined to one another in a single diffusion welding step.
