<p>To produce a hardened tube of biocompatible material, a regulator member (318) is moved in contact with a body of hardenable liquid along a conduit (303) so that a thin layer of the liquid is formed, which immediately contacts a hardening fluid to form the hardened tube. The tube may incorporate viable cells which are then cultured in the conduit (303) to prepare a surgical implant.</p> |
