The invention relates to a release bearing (3), consisting of a rididly disposed outer ring (9) and a rotating inner ring (13) between which rolling bodies (14) are guided. The inner ring (13) is associated with an adjusting ring (4a), with a gliding element (19a) being interposed between said components in a support area (18). In said support area (18), the mutually supporting components, the adjusting ring (4a) and the inner ring (13), form universal ball joint segments (21, 22) that allow for a self-adjustment of said components.
