<p>Compn. for protecting metal surfaces against corrosion, esp. for use on motor vehicles, comprises bitumen (pref. 20 - 50 wt. %), synthetic rubber (I) (pref. 2 - 3 wt. %), a solvent for (I) (pref. 40 - 60 wt.%) and aluminium in finely divided form (pref. 20 - 40 wt. %). Copper or a copper alloy, e.g. bronze, may be used instead of aluminium. A corrosion inhibitor, pref. a phosphoric acid ester, zinc naphthenate, zinc oxide or powdered zinc may be added, pref. in an amount =5 wt.% of the total compn.</p> |
