<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an offshore airport capable of reducing a noise problem when an airplane takes off and lands, taking off and landing at night at the airport, improving safety of dwelling around the airport, reducing destruction of a marine environment, facilitating access to the airport for passengers, and suppressing cost for airport construction at low. SOLUTION: A landing zone comprising a runway and a taxiway is deployed on the sea away from a seashore by a few kilometer, and a passenger terminal, a cargo terminal, an aircraft parking apron, a fuel facility, and a maintenance station are deployed on land near the seashore. A connecting bridge for transporting the airplane is deployed between the aircraft parking apron on land and the landing zone on the sea and the airplane with passengers and cargos is carried on a power carriage on wheels and is transported. A traveling passage holding means is provided on the connecting bridge and the power carriage on wheels so that the power carriage on wheels travels without deviating from a predetermined traveling passage of the connecting bridge, and the airplane is safely and rapidly transported by an approximately shortest route between the aircraft parking apron and the taxiway.</p> |
