PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a polyimide film without bringing about the lowering of strength with high productivity. SOLUTION: A polyamic acid varnish mixed with a chemical conversion agent and a catalyst is cast on a support to be stepwise heated and the cast layer is peeled to be cured and dried to manufacture the polyimide film without bringing about the lowering of strength with good productivity.
