PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inflator capable of securing a sufficient gas discharge amount at the beginning of an operation and lengthening discharge time for gas for expansion by minimizing parts of an ignition device. SOLUTION: This inflator 16 is provided with gas generation agents 27 and 28 for generating gas for expansion by combustion, a main body part 17 having a gas discharge port 19a capable of discharging gas for expansion by filling gas generation agent 27 and 28 into the main body part 17 and an ignition device 25 which is arranged within the main body part 17 and operates so as to ignite gas generation agent 27 and 28 at a required time. The main body part 17 is constituted so as to fill two or more kinds of gas generation agents 27 and 28 having different combustion speed.
