<p>The syringe comprises a body with a hypodermic needle fixed at one end, the two ends of the needle being bevelled, one end projecting into the body. The body contains two pistons, one capable of pushing inwards and the other free, thus dividing the body into two sections. The free piston has a central opening closed by a thin piercable diaphragm which can be broken by the end of the needle projecting into the syringe body. The syringe is disposable and can be used for multiple vaccination. The syringe may be one or two free pistons. The piercable diaphragm may be attached to either the wall of the free piston if there is only one, but to adjacent walls if there are two.</p> |
