PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a high rigidity iron based alloy which has a high Young's modulus, and is useful as a high rigidity metallic material for structural purposes, and to provide a production method for the high rigidity iron based alloy which is practical in the production of parts for obtaining the iron based alloy. SOLUTION: The high rigidity iron based alloy consists of a matrix consisting of iron or an iron alloy, and at least one or more kinds selected from borides essentially consisting of the group 4A elements and dispersed into the matrix.
