PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend the searching depth of underground radar equipment by means of a high-speed RF signal switching type STC. SOLUTION: This FMCW type underground radar equipment is provided with switching circuits which interrupt or attenuate signal routes in the preceding stage of a transmission antenna and in the poststage of a reception antenna, respectively, so that the switching circuits may be turned on and off alternately. The radar equipment is also provided with a switch controller which adjusts the turning-on/off timing of the switching circuits so that the STC may work to a desired depth.
