PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an Sn plated steel sheet which has excellent corrosion resistance of a coating substrate, and has excellent adhesive strength of a coated organic resin layer, and therefore has no peeling of the coated organic resin layer even in the application of severed working, a resin-coated Sn plated steel sheet obtained by coating an Sn plated steel sheet with a resin film, a can using the steel sheet, and to provide a method for producing the Sn plated steel sheet and the resin-coated Sn plated steel sheet. SOLUTION: The surface of an Sn plated steel sheet is provided with a silane coupling agent-coated layer, and is coated with a coating material, and is baked, or a resin film is laminated thereon to produce a resin-coated Sn plated steel sheet. The Sn plated steel sheet is subjected to deep drawing, or stretch working after the deep drawing, or ironing after the deep drawing, or forming and processing by jointly using stretch working and ironing after the deep drawing to form into a can body.
