NOVEL COFACTORS OF THE LIVER X RECEPTOR ALPHA AND METHODS OF USE

The present invention relates to novel cofactors of the liver X receptor alpha which are designated CF21, CF22, and CF33a and in particular to the isolated nucleic acid sequences encoding these cofactors and the isolated polypeptides thereof. The invention further relates to processes for isolating and/or producing the nucleic acids or the polypeptides as well as methods of use of these cofactors, such as in inhibiting or activating the binding of the cofactors to the liver X receptor alpha.
