PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car navigation system which searches for a road which a user has ever passed at least once as a from the running track information in the past destination when the user loses his/her way during running of a car and a car navigator is started. SOLUTION: The car navigation system for on-vehicle information terminals has a function 16 for acquiring own vehicle position, a function 15 for guiding on a route by designating a departure point and a destination point, and a function 18 for recording track information during running. Upon request from a user, the system retrieves a route (15) from the present own vehicle position (19) to the nearest road point among the recorded track information and performs a navigation display 11. |
