PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of suppressing generation of an adverse effect such as paper jam due to contact between the side peripheral of a stripping plate on the side of a first rotor and a recording material. SOLUTION: The stripping plate 15 is closely arranged to a fixing roller 11 to be along with the axis direction of the fixing roller 11. The side peripheral of the stripping plate 15 on the side of the fixing roller 11 is formed in the shape of a circular arc in which both ends in width direction (the axis direction of the fixing roller 11) are projected, the both projected ends are positioned on the upstream side of the rotational direction of the fixing roller 11 in comparison with other portions in the side peripheral of the stripping plate 15 on the side of the fixing roller 11. And the stripping plate 15 is arranged to the fixing roller 11 so that both projected ends of it face to both ends of the fixing roller 11, namely, face both ends of paper P to be ejected from a nip part 13 in the width direction.
