PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an implement for maintaining the height of a damper for base isolation, which has excellent workability, can be diverted to other purposes, and can support a vertical load during execution of work without damaging upper and lower base plates of the damper. SOLUTION: This implement is interposed between the upper and lower base plates 20 and 21 of the damper for the base isolation so as to keep an interval between the base plates 20 and 21 at a prescribed value. The implement is provided with an upper-side supporting part 1 which is made to abut on an under surface of the base plate 20, a lower-side supporting part 2 which is made to abut on a top surface of the base plate 21, and an adjusting part 3 which is disposed in the supporting parts 1 and 2 in a mutually coaxial manner and screwed into each of the supporting parts 1 and 2. The respective supporting parts 1 and 2 are formed with internal thread parts formed so that helical directions can be opposite to each other, and upper and lower parts of the adjusting part 3 are formed with external thread parts 3b and 3c formed in such a manner that the helical directions are opposite to each other in order to screw the external thread parts 3b and 3c into the internal thread parts.
