摘要

An image filing device comprising a data storage unit (1) for storing therein the image data which have been recorded in a format conforming to the DICOM standards relating to medical images, an image filing device control unit (3) for acquiring information on the attributes of the image data when the image data is inputted to the data storage unit (1) and for storing the attribute information in the data storage unit (1) by adding the image index information which can be directly found for every image unit, and an image searching unit (4) for searching for image data according to search condition data in the image index information in addition to search using the attribute information when the image data is outputted from the data storage unit (1).
