PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method by which a target can be recognized as a clear image from an original image picked up by means of laser radar equipment. SOLUTION: This image processing method includes a step of irradiating an object to be recognized with laser light, a step of picking up the image of the object by receiving reflected light from the object, and a step of processing the image data showing the picked up image. The step of processing the image data includes a sub-step S12 of generating first processed image data by calculating moving average of the image data, a sub-step S14 of generating second processed image data by emphasizing the edge of the first processed image data, and a sub-step S15 of generating third processed image data by binarizing the second processed image data. The step also includes sub-steps S16 and S17 of generating an output image by performing enlarging and reducing processing and reducing and enlarging processing on the third processed image data. |
