PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save power of a portable liquid crystal display information processor which has an input part such as a keyboard without spoiling the operability by solving the point that a battery usable time is short at battery driving time. SOLUTION: A 1st processing block connected to an information input block 97 including the keyboard 201 is provided and connected to a 2nd processing block 98 to which a display part 2 with memory effect is connected. According to the input of the keyboard, etc., the 1st processing block 1 actuates the 2nd processing block 98 in a stop state and changes the display of the display part 2, and then the power supply to or the operations of the both are stopped. At this time, the display of the display part 2 having the memory effect is held. Consequently, the information processor is obtained which has its power consumption greatly reduced without spoiling display characteristics of the display part 2.
