PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical underwater repeating unit through which workability of optical fiber installation is improved. SOLUTION: Mounting plate sections 11b to 14b are provided inside cylindrical chassis 11a to 14a. Optical fibers are installed on the front and the back of the sections 11b to 14b through a cable insertion section provided by notching the external peripheral walls of the chassis 11a to 14a.
