PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid developer which is excellent in the charge stability, dispersion stability, re-dispersion property and fixing property of particles and which makes excellent sensitivity with printing ink and printing durability possible even for an electrophotographic plate making system in which the processes of developing and fixing are fast performed and a large-size master plate is used. SOLUTION: In the electrophotographic liquid developer prepared by dispersing at least resin particles in a nonwater solvent having >=10<9>Ωcm electric resistance and <=3.5 dielectric constant, the dispersed resin particles are copolymer resin particles obtained by polymerizing and granulating a solution containing monofunctional monomers (A) which are soluble with the nonwater solvent but becomes insoluble by polymerization, monofunctional monomers (B) containing amino groups, monofunctional monomers (C) containing acidic groups selected from -PO3 H2 group, -SO3 H group and -SO2 H group, and a star resin [P] for the stabilization of dispersion having a specified component.
