<p>A fire door or fire panel comprises a timber frame to which facing panels (4) are secured between which is retained a ceramic sheet (8) coated on one or both sides with a cured solution of an aqueous polymer system containing one or more intumescent additives. The cloth is sized to fill substantially the entire space defined by the sides (1) and cross (2, 3) members of the frame, and is positioned between and spaced from the facing panels (4) of the door or panel.</p> |
