A multi-layered optical disc having a plurality of information recording blocks, each having a phase-change type recording layer. The first information recording block arranged at the laser beam incident side uses as a recording material a phase-change recording material containing Sb and Te as main contents and with the atom ratio satisfying 2.3<Sb/Te </= 4.0. Since this phase-change recording material has a rapid crystallization speed, it is possible to perform stable recording or reproduction of an information signal and further overwrite recording of an information signal at a high transfer rate.
