PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a channel gate capable of lightening labor required for opening a gate for discharging water in the openable gate set in a channel and for damming water flowing in the channel. SOLUTION: An openable window 11 swinging up and down is provided to an openable sheathing board 6, a chain 9 connected to the window 11 is manipulatively pulled near to open the window 11, and after water is thereby discharged to lower the water level, the sheathing board 6 is pulled out by manipulatively pulling a chain 8 near. Water pressure acting on the window 11 is low and an area of the window 11 is also narrow, so that the labor required for opening the window 11 gets along without large one, and since the sheathing board 6 can be opened after the water level has been lowered, the labor gets along without large one.
