PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an image having a sufficiently high resolution on a stamp material. SOLUTION: An apparatus for manufacturing a stamp sandwiches the stamp material 2 between a fixed clamp 14 and a movable clamp 18 and elongates the material 2. Printing data for forming the image enlarged in response to an elongating ratio on the material 2 is given to an ink jet head 16 for printing the stamp material 2 from a controller 25.
