The filter comprises elements consisting of a support structure, a support grating and sieve-fabric. The elements form several units in a filter vessel, and the filler-layer(s) lie(s) horizontal during use. The filter vessel can be pivoted, in the vertical plane, through an angle, pref. 90 degrees, large enough to allow the filter layer to be removed from its substrate by the force of gravity. |
