This invention provides new chemical entities useful for treating a variety of clinical disorders including those that are influenced by the activity of peroxisome proliferator activated receptors (PPAR) including PPARalpha, PPARdelta, and or PPARgamma. The structures of the compounds and methods to design, make and use the compounds are provided. Tautomers, stereoisomers and derivatives of the subject compounds, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts and solvates thereof, and their uses in the treatment of metabolic, inflammatory, autoimmune, proliferative and degenerative diseases are also provided.
