<p>A feedforward amplifier comprising a detector (35) for detecting the power of unnecessary wave signal contained in the output signal from a distortion removing circuit (2), a comparator (51) for comparing the detected power of unnecessary wave signal with a predetermined threshold value, a control circuit (36) for outputting a control voltage to be imparted to a vector adjuster (22) in such a manner as to minimize the detected power of unnecessary wave signal, a switching device (52) for switching the output destination of the control voltage from the control circuit (36) on the basis of the result of comparison from the comparator (51), an averaging circuit (53) which, if the power of the unnecessary wave signal detected is smaller than a predetermined threshold value, averages the control voltage from the switching device (52) to output the thus-averaged control voltage to the vector adjuster (22).</p> |
