<p>The invention relates to a method for transmitting video and/or audio data, whereby areas within the video and/or audio data are prioritised according to at least one predetermined or predeterminable criterion. The invention also relates to a device for transmitting video and/or audio data, comprising user data input devices for inputting image and/or audio data and transmission data output devices for outputting image and/or audio data to a communications network in order to connect to a communications device of another communication user. Prioritising devices are located between the user data input devices and the transmission data output devices. Said prioritising devices have processing units, which assign different priorities to individual image and/or audio data areas and in addition are configured for outputting an image and/or audio data area, depending on its priority, unprocessed or with a reduced dataset to the transmission data output devices for transmission.</p> |
