A field ambulance (1) which includes a stretcher support frame (6) positioned so as to provide a support for a stretcher (15) aligned to extend in a longitudinal direction along one side of the ambulance (1), and a first seat (26) secured to the ambulance (10) and positioned to provide support for a seated medical attendant at an end behind the stretcher support frame (6) with a foot well lower than the stretcher support frame (6) and including an area forward of the seat (26) adapted to receive the medical attendant's feet.
