<p>In an air cooler and water separator of the type having a vertical shell and tube heat exchanger set above a condensate chamber, access to the interior of the shell from either end of the tube bundle may be gained without breaking the air or refrigerant connections to the cooler. Essentially, the shell is extended through the condensate chamber, to which it is united in monobloc construction, the ends of the shell are closed by removable dished covers and part of the shell is cut away within the condensate chamber.</p> |
