The invention relates to a gearbox for a vehicle, particularly a commercial vehicle, comprising a gearshift-lever device (1), a transfer device (2), a shifting device (3) and a gearbox. The transfer device (2) actuates the shifting device (3) in response to the gearshift-lever device (1). The shifting device (3) controls a corresponding gearbox area. The inventive gearbox is characterised in that the transfer device (2) is configured as a pneumatic device. It is particularly suitable as it enables high operating convenience and high reliability with low production costs.
