A thin structure information processing apparatus comprising: a body (1) of said information processing apparatus, said body having a substantially planar structure and accommodating therein a main board (2); a battery (4); and a hard disk drive (5) characterised in that said main board, said battery and said hard disk drive are arranged across a main plane of said substantially planar structure, in such a manner that, when viewed in a direction perpendicular to said main plane, their elements do not overlap one another; and said main board has at least one notch portion in which a slot (10) is arranged; said body has a key board module (6) and a palm rest (7) arranged, in such a manner, when viewed in a direction perpendicular to said main plane, not to overlap with, but to be adjacent to said key board module; and said main board and said slot are arranged below said key board module; and said battery and said hard disk drive are not arranged below said key board module, but arranged below said palm rest. |
