Water protection wall is a flexible device made of a hard-wearing plastic tarpaulin (like a rubber dinghy). It is folded and anchored in a trench surrounding a building and covered by covering plates or protective grills which can be easily removed. Preferred Features: The lowermost part of the wall serves as a weight for a second part. The plastic tarpaulin is perforated and filled with sand or earth to absorb water. In the presence of flood water the second part unfolds or rolls out and a chamber is filled with compressed air to hold the second part under tensile stress. Other chambers can be inflated if necessary.
