Toner for developing electrostatic images has a resin binder comprising a polyester (I) with a high softening point of over 120 deg C and <= 160 deg C and a polyester (II) with a low softening point of /- 75 deg C and <= 120 deg C. Both (I) and (II) are obtained by polycondensation a substantially aliphatic alcohol with a carboxylic acid and the difference between the softening points of (I) and (II) is /- 10 deg C.
