PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a caulking method for a contact excellent in contact reliability, high roughness in contact surface and no generation of a crack nor bent of a base metal. SOLUTION: A pellet-shaped contact material 10, cut out from a wire-shape contact material, is inserted into a fixing hole 20a of a base metal 20, and the periphery of one end and the lower face of the contact material are surely held by dies 21, 23. The other edge of the pellet-shaped contact material 10 which is a contact part 11 is pressed by a punch 30 having a convex surface, and the contact part 11 is formed by further pressing with the punch 30 having the concave surface.
