COMPOUND FOR THERAPY OF UREMIA, METHOD FOR SELECTING THE SAME AND THERAPEUTIC AGENT OF UREMIA CONTAINING THE COMPOUND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method (a screening method) for selecting a compound usable for the therapy of uremia which is the main symptom of renal insufficiency syndrome as a fundamental purpose of this invention, and further to obtain a therapeutic agent for the uremia containing the compound obtained by carrying out the method as an active ingredient. SOLUTION: The method (the screening method) for selecting the compound usable for the therapy of the uremia comprises evaluating the hindrance of the formation of an aldehyde isomer from an in vivo polyamine by the oxidative deamination by using an amine oxidase. Concretely, the method for selecting the compound usable for the therapy of the uremia comprises evaluation of the hindrance of the formation of acrolein which is the aldehyde isomer formed from the in vivo polyamine. The therapeutic agent of the uremia contains a compound inhibiting the formation of the acrolein.
