PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for imaging the fundus of the human eye without aberration comprising a light source, an active mirror oriented between the light source and the fundus, and an imaging unit for observing the fundus. SOLUTION: A sensor regulates an error signal by comparing the wavefront reflected from the eye with the wavefront without aberration, and the active mirror is programmed by using the error signal, then the aberration is removed from the reflected light. It is important that all these processes are executed by focusing the light to a focal point on the fundus with a small value of the three-dimensionally measured volume, that is point distribution function (PSF), up to approx. 2 μm×2 μm×20 μm. The imaging unit comprises a ellipsometer and a fluoroscope, and the light source may be a laser diode or an AP diode. |
