PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize an out-of-control region of extension ratio in a rolling material, regardless of a magnitude of an error in an initial preset load at a continuous temper rolling mill. SOLUTION: When a rolling mill is pressed down based on a preset value of a rolling load, the thickness of the rolling material at the entry side of the mill and a plastic coefficient are calculated based on a press-down position, rolling load value and extension ratio at a time before an actual rolling load reaches the initial preset load value, and a press-down position, rolling load and extension ratio when the actual rolling load reaches the initial preset load. Then the preset load is corrected so as to coincide with a predetermined target extension ratio. On-line capability to reset a more accurate preset value for the rolling load enables minimizing the out-of-control region of extension ratio at the change of setting value of extension ratio.
|
