PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently and surely collect foreign matter from the body cavity without leaving the foreign matter in the body cavity. SOLUTION: This medical instrument is constituted by a collecting tool including a sheath tube, an operating wire penetrated through the sheath tube, an operating means for operating the operating wire and a flexible wire fitted to the tip of the operating wire. The collecting tool is spiral, and the collecting tool is formed by one flexible wire or formed by the flexible wire made by twisting two or more wires.
