The method includes a first and second step of inverse DCT transformation, each one applied simultaneously on many DCT blocks of reduced size, extracted from N coded video input signals. Also generated are N exit blocks of reduced size, defining one of these video signals decoded from the reduced size format by a factor N. The system involves a method for video processing of N video input signal codes, for decoding and reducing, by a factor N, the format of each of these input video signal codes and managing an assembly of video signals decoded in the reduced format in the pixel domain or area, each coded input video signal having DCT blocks.
